About Us

Momso — which stands for Michelle Osbourne Matthiasson Sewing Oasis — was born out of our founder Michelle's lifelong love of sewing and the transformative journey of becoming a mother.
Featured on BBC One's The Great British Sewing Bee, BBC Radio and The Guardian, Michelle's work has been featured and appreciated on a national level. Sewing has always run through her veins - learning at her grandmother’s knee, then her mother's; producing quality stitching, folding and shaping fabric for over 40 years.

A Heritage of Craft
Michelle's formal training in Iceland — including custom swimwear and children’s clothing, took her to 66°NORTH — where precision, craftsmanship, and finish were everything.
With sustainability and quality at the heart of everything we do, we are committed to reducing textile waste and creating garments with care, intention, and longevity.
AS SEEN ON:

A Proud 10-year History
Having blossomed into a vibrant and diverse team, Momso is proud to have been 100% women-led for the past 10 years — employing and empowering women from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and life experiences.
We've had the joy of training and working alongside more than 120 women over the past decade, bridging the gap between home sewing and the professional fashion industry.

Giving Back to Pay it Forward
To carry our mission of sustainability forward, Momso continues to grow through Momso Sustainable CIC — our social enterprise focused on education, community, training and environmental impact. Through sewing lessons, repair workshops, and collaborative projects, we create opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection — all while promoting conscious consumption and circular fashion.
